VPD Loses A Veteran Investigator To Retirement

Congratulations to Detective Scott Yates on his recent retirement!

Scott has been a Vallejo Police Officer since 1994. He has spent most of his career in the Patrol Division and was a K9 handler for many years. Scott’s most recent assignment has been as a detective in the Investigations Division. Scott is a Vallejo native and has dedicated his life and career to the City of Vallejo. Detective Yates has been involved in a variety of youth programs outside the Police Department. Scott also spent almost two decades serving on the VPOA Board of Directors.
