Postolaki Takes On New Post
We would like to bid farewell to Lieutenant Ted Postolaki who has decided to retire prematurely in order to take his experience to another law enforcement organization. We would like to congratulate Ted on his distinguished career and thank him for his 27 years in law-enforcement to include 21 years at the Vallejo Police Department.
He was a truly dedicated City of Vallejo employee and his departure will be felt throughout the Department. Among the many accomplishments in his career, Ted possessed a wealth of experience and knowledge stemming from his time in a variety of assignments and ranks to include Patrol, Crime Suppression Detective, General Investigations Detective, Force Options Instructor and Field Training Officer.
Ted was the recipient of many commendations in his career. Most notably, he was awarded the good conduct medal, medal of merit, life-saving medal, and medal of courage. Lieutenant Postolaki is the epitome of a true “servant leader.” During his time at the Vallejo Police Department he was a mentor to many and a long-standing member of the field training program and honor guard. As a field training corporal, sergeant, and ultimately the lieutenant coordinating the entire program, Ted was involved in the training of over 100 Vallejo Police officers. Ted’s dedication, experience, and love for the City of Vallejo will be truly missed. We wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career.
