More Officers Leave VPD
Last week, two additional officers departed the Vallejo Police Department to continue their careers at a neighboring law enforcement agency. We would like to thank Officer Cesar Luengas and William Rhodes for their service to the Vallejo community. Both officers were sworn in by Chief Shawny Williams and leave us after less than two years of service. They were both recently featured on the Department’s social media platforms and their youthful enthusiasm will definitely be missed.
Officer Luengas was one of the first officers sworn in by Chief Williams when he arrived in 2019. Cesar is bilingual and was a member of the Mobile Field Force Team.
Officer Rhodes is a native of Vallejo, attended Vallejo schools, and is a US Army veteran. VPD hired Officer Rhodes as an entry level officer and the Department sponsored him through the police academy. Chief Williams swore in Officer Rhodes in October of 2020.
We wish both of these officers the best of luck as they progress through their promising careers.
