Our best wishes and thanks to Officer Charlie Davis as he resigns from the Vallejo PD to work for another police agency in the Bay Area.  Charlie spent less than 2 years with us but was an asset to the Patrol Division.  We know he will have a long and dedicated career in law enforcement.

This month we also wish another young rookie officer the best of luck after his resignation from the the Field Training Program.  The training program is a rigorous 6-8 month process where new officers are shown all aspects of what they learned in the academy and applying it to real world (often fast paced and rapidly evolving) situations from "routine" contacts with victims and citizens with questions to high stress, highly volatile arrests of violent suspects.  To say the least...it's challenging and not for everyone.  Vallejo often provides a plethora of unique challenges.  Whether you worked here 2 years or 32 years....we thank you for your time serving the citizens and visitors to Vallejo.
