Thank You And Good Luck
The VPOA is disappointed to announce the departure of yet another veteran police officer, Chris Hendrix.
Chris is a homegrown police officer. He is a Vallejo native and graduate of Vallejo High School. He was a member of the Vallejo Police Cadet Program while attending college. He continued his journey attending the police academy and ultimately becoming a Vallejo police officer.
Veteran Officer Hendrix takes 4 plus years of dedicated service as a Vallejo police officer to another Bay Area agency - following several other tenured officers doing the same. During his time at Vallejo PD, Chris was assigned to the Patrol Division and selected to be a member of the Department's Mobile Field Force Team. Most recently, he was assigned as a member of Operation PEACE. The PEACE Team has been responsible for the seizure of numerous firearms off the streets of Vallejo. Unfortunately, his position on that team will not be filled.
Chris' service to his hometown will be greatly missed here in Vallejo. The VPOA wishes Chris luck at his new law enforcement agency. Hopefully City leaders will take notice of the vast amounts of training, education and experience that are transferring to other agencies. We must attract and retain experience.
Thank you Chris and good luck!
