Another VPD Employee Calls it Quit
Vallejo, CA – The Vallejo Police Officers’ Association has become aware of the recent resignation of Police Information Analyst Brittany K. Jackson.
This is at least the fifth direct report hired by Chief Williams to resign since he became Chief.
The VPOA and the City just signed an agreement where a sworn (police officer) Public Information Officer (PIO) will return and be utilized to work collaboratively with a civilian public relations person. We believe combining these skillsets is the most effective and efficient use of personnel which will ultimately provide the citizens of Vallejo the best avenues of communication.
While we believe the Department should have both sworn and non sworn media/public relations staff, the VPOA did not advocate for Ms. Jasckon's departure (contrary to rumors). We would like to thank Ms. Jackson for her hard work and dedication to increasing communication and social media outreach to the community. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.
